Ultrasonically Weldable Pressure Compensation Seals

Ultrasonic welding opens up new options for the reliable connection of Pressure Compensation Seals.

Component with ultrasonically weldable PCS

Quickly Welded, Permanently Connected

Different ultrasonically welded PCS

Pressure Compensation Seals are precisely welded onto plastic surfaces using high-frequency vibrations. The process creates a strong, chemically resistant bond without damaging the material. This results in durable and tight connections that meet the high requirements of the automotive and industrial sectors.

Your Advantages at a Glance

  • High stability: secure fixing thanks to firm weld seams
  • Gentle processing: indirect energy input protects sensitive materials
  • Efficient process: fast, precise and reproducible fastening
  • Flexibility: large selection of sonotrodes and membrane variants

Portfolio

PCS ultrasonically welded endless

PCS Ultrasonically Welded - Endless

Ultrasonically welded Pressure Compensation Seals in endless design impress with their high level of standardization. They are available in a wide range of defined endless widths and are ideal for applications with consistent geometries and efficient finishing processes. They therefore offer an economical and reliable solution for series applications.

PCS ultrasonically welded and die-cut

PCS Ultrasonically Welded - Die-Cut

Ultrasonically welded, die-cut Pressure Compensation Seals offer maximum flexibility in the welding process and thus enable a particularly broad membrane portfolio. Thanks to the pre-punched design, the PCS can also be easily welded into deeper and more difficult to access housing openings. In this way, they reliably protect electronic housings from environmental influences, even in demanding installation situations.

Ultrasonic Welding Process

Two processes are used in the ultrasonic welding of Pressure Compensation Seals: longitudinal and torsional.
Both use vibrations to join materials, but differ in the way energy is transferred.

Graphic torsional ultrasonic welding

Longitudinal Ultrasonic Welding

The process is mainly suitable for pre-cut PTFE membranes without support fleece on endless belts.

Graphic longitudinal ultrasonic welding

Torsional Ultrasonic Welding

The process is also suitable for nonwoven-supported PTFE membranes on endless belts.

Ultrasonically weldable Pressure Compensation Seals can only be used on plastic surfaces and always require an additional ultrasonic welding device. We offer you suitable systems for processing - from manual processing cells to modules for fully automatic process integration. We would be happy to advise you on design and implementation.
