Products and Supply Chains

“Integrated Sustainability”

We inspire our customers from all over the world with high-quality and innovative products. One of our central concerns is to develop and manufacture these at the same time from an ecological and social point of view.

Sustainable Products

The demand for sustainable product design has risen sharply in recent years. With a strict focus on standards such as IATF 16949, EMAS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, Schreiner Group ensures that the relevant customer requirements are always met. Product and process design takes into account a comprehensive guideline for sustainable product development that includes all life cycles.

As early as the product design stage, developers pay attention to sustainable material types, the COfootprint, the recyclability of the product, and numerous other criteria. The raw materials of the products come only from selected suppliers. In addition, these materials are tested for their environmental and health compatibility as well as legal compliance. Ecological and efficient product manufacturing also plays an essential role in production planning. High material efficiency and lowest pollutant emissions are the focus.

The result of these efforts are solutions that have a significantly improved eco-balance at comparable costs and analog performance and have been developed with social considerations in mind.

Schreiner Group pays attention – whenever possible – to a reduced use of materials.

Reduced use of materials:
Less material than usual in the market was used.

Strong Customers Demand Strong Suppliers

Responsibility for people, the environment and society throughout the entire process chain: Schreiner Group also demands sustainable and ethical business practices from its suppliers. One instrument for this is the “Code of Conduct”, which—despite different legal, social or cultural environments—sets the same high standards for environmental protection and occupational safety, employees' fundamental rights, the prohibition of corruption and bribery, and child labor across all countries. We have included all relevant principles of the UN Global Compact and the ILO in our Code of Conduct and committed all suppliers to them. Further requirements are set forth in the General Terms and Conditions and the Supplier Guide. As a basic prerequisite for cooperation with Schreiner Group, ISO 9001 certification is required.

Preference is given to suppliers certified to ISO 14001 or ISO 45001. Compliance with the agreed standards is checked during regular supplier audits. Adherence to sustainability topics and compliance is additionally monitored with the help of the service provider Integrity Next. An improvement program can also be defined for individual suppliers with the help of individual development plans.
