The constant increase of electric mobility and growing electronic density keep raising the demands to be met in terms of lightweight design, component protection, and media resistance. Automotive and Industry customers require solutions that can be precisely integrated into existing systems while delivering permanent, reliable performance. In view of those demands, Schreiner ProTech has systematically developed its portfolio further this year.
Modular Kit for Challenging Pressure Compensation Solutions
For modern electronics and sensor housings, ensuring air circulation combined with permanent protection of sensitive components is of paramount importance. The new PCS HighProtect kit addresses exactly that need by offering a selection of rugged, film-based pressure compensation seals enabling precise customization to suit design space, loads, and process environments. For customers, that translates into high levels of functional reliability and minimal process risks. The variants produced under clean-room conditions satisfy Technical Cleanliness requirements. Complementary application solutions enable easy integration into automated lines notably shortening production steps.
Film-Based Cover as Functionally Integrated Lightweight Design Closure
For applications with small design space, the Film-Based Cover (FBC) is an alternative to classic plastic covers. The flat lightweight cover replaces a separate component and since this year has been suitable for integrating additional functions such as pressure compensation seals or markings. Laser welding ensures permanent bonding while packaging on rolls increases automation levels. Customizable shapes, materials, and sizes enable precise adaptation to sensor and electronic housing requirements. Compared to conventional covers, the FBC reduces both tooling costs and component complexity.
Protective Films for Large Displays
A slightly adhesive, large-sized display protection product extends the portfolio of protective films. Its special coating reliably sticks to the substrate and can be removed without leaving any residues—even in the case of challenging pillar-to-pillar geometries. The film’s antistatic finish protects sensitive electronics while its high transparency enables functional testing underneath the film. Its suitability for printing and lasering support markings being made directly on the protective medium. The solution addresses OEMs and suppliers seeking to validate sensitive surfaces and covering a need for lean, automatable assembly processes.
For 2026, Schreiner ProTech is planning a further extension of film-based functional solutions and closer integration of material development, process automation, and customer projects.
