In the FINAT Label Competition 2026, Schreiner Group has once again been recognized for its innovative prowess in the field of functional marking solutions. The awards went to a highly transparent seal with an integrated digital authentication function from Schreiner MediPharm – which was named group winner in the prestigious Innovation category – and an RFID-based hybrid label for vehicle identification from Schreiner PrinTrust. Both solutions impressed the international judging panel with their combination of technological sophistication, security functions, and clear user benefits.
The FINAT Awards are the most important competition of the European label industry and recognize outstanding products. They are presented once a year by the European Association of the Self-Adhesive Label Industry (FINAT). The 2026 winners were announced at a festive awards ceremony during the European Label Forum in Seville. Schreiner Group had a double reason to celebrate as two of its innovative products were recognized with awards.
Varied Solutions for Different Markets

Digital Authentication for More Patient Safety
With a transparent seal featuring an integrated digital authentication function, Schreiner MediPharm addresses the growing demands made on counterfeiting protection and traceability in the pharmaceutical supply chain. The solution enables fast and reliable analog and digital authenticity verification. In addition to overt security features, a smartphone-readable covert security structure makes clear authentication possible. Tampering attempts on the seal lead to the destruction of this feature and are immediately detected, which means that fakes can be identified at an early stage. The combination of digital and analog first-opening indication, digital verification, and sustainable material use impressed the judging panel and was even recognized with two awards in the Innovation category, including the overall group award.
RFID Hybrid Label for Reliable Vehicle Identification
Schreiner PrinTrust was recognized for its innovative solution in the area of reliable identification systems as well. The “3rd License Plate RFID Hybrid” Label combines optical security features with RFID technology and enables both visual and automatic digital identification of vehicles across different distances. Due to the tamper-proof integration of UHF and NFC technology, the solution is suitable for use as an official third license plate, thus enhancing traffic safety. The judging panel particularly recognized the combination of security printing, digital functionality, and practical use and selected the solution for an award in the Marketing/End-uses – Security category.
