The EU Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to serialize their products and to provide secondary product packaging with an anti-tampering device. Primary containers or devices such as pens and autoinjectors for self-medication, however, are not included in these requirements yet. Schreiner MediPharm has developed an NFC-Label for autoinjectors that enables digital tamper evidence on primary packaging and makes it possible for pharmaceutical manufacturers to close this risk gap.     Read more

The countdown is on: On February 9, 2019, EU Directive 2011/62/EU will come into effect. It aims to stop illegal trade in falsified medicines. From then onwards, pharmaceutical manufacturers have to provide secondary packaging of all medicines placed on the market with an individual serial number as well as an anti-tampering device to ensure the integrity of the medicinal packaging: a challenge that should not be underestimated and demands customized and efficient solutions. At Pharmapack in Paris on February 7 and 8, 2018, Schreiner MediPharm will present its extensive portfolio of innovative analog and digital security solutions for reliable counterfeiting and tampering protection in Hall 7.1, Booth J48. The highlight of the product lineup will be the BitSecure copy detection pattern which enables easy, digital authentication of pharmaceutical packaging using a smartphone app.     Read more

The innovative development combines first-opening protection with reliable blinding of transparent containers used in clinical trials. Thanks to opaque-printed film caps, investigational products cannot be distinguished from each other. In addition, an integrated Booklet-Label offers ample space for product information in different languages.     Read more
