Schreiner Group today announced that its current Schreiner ProSecure business unit will start to operate under a new organizational structure on November 15, 2011. In the future, the existing activities will be pursued in a two-pronged approach by the Schreiner ProSecure competence center and the Schreiner PrinTrust business unit. By taking this step, Schreiner Group is intensifying its efforts to clearly align its business activities in terms of “market” and “technology.”

A panel of label industry experts has reviewed the nominations for the 2011 Label Industry Global Awards and is pleased to announce the winner of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award as Helmut F. Schreiner, Executive Manager and Owner of the Schreiner Group. The judging panel convened during the recent FINAT Congress in Sicily and selected Helmut F. Schreiner from a number of high-calibre nominations. The award is sponsored by Avery Dennison.

Schreiner Group entered four specialty label solutions in this year’s competition held by FINAT, the international federation of the self-adhesive label industry. All four product entries were selected for awards.

For almost ten years Schreiner VarioLight, the specialist for printed light of Schreiner Group from Oberschleissheim near Munich, Germany, has been developing and realizing light design solutions based on anorganic electroluminescence. In addition to the luminous films, the portfolio today includes printed conductor paths and multi-functional control surfaces for the products offered. This wide range of products will now be expressed in the division’s name. Effective October 1, 2010, the development partner and supplier for printed electronics products will appear as a competence center named Schreiner PrinTronics.

The 30^th international labeling competition sponsored by FINAT saw Schreiner Group win the special “Innovation” award for as much as the eleventh consecutive time. In addition, the company was the winner in the “Security” category and achieved four other awards. FINAT is the global umbrella organization representing manufacturers of self-adhesive labels and related products and services. The awards were presented in Valencia on June 10, 2010.

To strengthen the significance of RFID as one of Schreiner Group’s strategic technologies over the long run and in line with its lean-enterprise strategy, Schreiner Group announced that it will integrate its X-ident technology GmbH subsidiary effective March 1, 2010. x-ident will support all of the Group’s divisions with its specialized expertise as an element of the “Competence Center Schreiner LogiData.”

Schreiner LogiData GmbH & Co. KG was integrated into Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. KG effective December 31, 2009. As the "Competence Center LogiData", the previous subsidiary is now responsible for all Group-wide solutions in the field of "Radio Frequency Identification" (RFID). Schreiner Group’s decision to integrate the division with the company was made as a result of the growing strategic importance of these high-tech products for all of the Group’s divisions.
