The 30th international labeling competition sponsored by FINAT saw Schreiner Group win the special “Innovation” award for as much as the eleventh consecutive time. In addition, the company was the winner in the “Security” category and achieved four other awards. FINAT is the global umbrella organization representing manufacturers of self-adhesive labels and related products and services. The awards were presented in Valencia on June 10, 2010.
To strengthen the significance of RFID as one of Schreiner Group’s strategic technologies over the long run and in line with its lean-enterprise strategy, Schreiner Group announced that it will integrate its X-ident technology GmbH subsidiary effective March 1, 2010. x-ident will support all of the Group’s divisions with its specialized expertise as an element of the “Competence Center Schreiner LogiData.”
Schreiner LogiData GmbH & Co. KG was integrated into Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. KG effective December 31, 2009. As the "Competence Center LogiData", the previous subsidiary is now responsible for all Group-wide solutions in the field of "Radio Frequency Identification" (RFID). Schreiner Group’s decision to integrate the division with the company was made as a result of the growing strategic importance of these high-tech products for all of the Group’s divisions.
The ”IHK-Akademie München“ (Chamber of Commerce Academy Munich) will host an information event on November 11, 2009 entitled: “Successfully Managing Innovations – Setting the Future Agenda Today”

The Needle-Trap needle protection label by Schreiner MediPharm has been nominated for the prestigious Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in the "product design" category. The award is the highest official German recognition in the field of design and is deemed "the award of awards." The award is special in that only companies that have already won a national or international award for the nominated product may participate in the competition. In addition, the product and company must be nominated by the state ministries of trade and commerce or the federal ministry of trade, commerce and technology. Needle-Trap meets all of these criteria. The award presentation will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, in February 2010.
As an international umbrella organization with members from all regions of the world, FINAT invites the industry to participate in a highly prestigious competition every year. 291 entries in 19 categories were considered, rated and awarded in Antalya, Turkey, by an expert judging panel on June 12th 2009. Schreiner Group was the winner in the Industrial group, highly recommended in the groups of Pharma and Security as well as the absolute winner in the Innovation category.

The North American Security Products Organization (NASPO) is one of the strictest guardians when it comes to compliance with maximum security standards. Around the world, the organization certifies providers who produce security-relevant products for their customers.
At an audit in December 2008, Schreiner ProSecure was found to meet all the requirements and the first German provider of security labels and functional components to receive the NASPO certificate.
Only a year after moving to its new location on Munich’s Balanstrasse, Schreiner VarioLight was officially recognized as a qualified supplier. The certification is the prerequisite for being able to work as a supplier to the automotive industry. However, for Schreiner VarioLight the certification process is not just a necessary evil. In the spirit of the corporate value, “Quality,” the system supplier for printed electronics used the opportunity of the certification to review its processes and to achieve further improvements.
Schreiner MediPharm’s new US plant launched its manufacturing operations in 2008 and has since been successfully delivering products to customers in North America. Only a few months after start of production, the Rockland Economic Development Corporation (REDC) recognized the new plant with the “ Manufacturer of the Year Award.”

Schreiner MediPharm participated in the competition for the first time and immediately won one of the major awards for Needle-Trap, the innovative needle protection label for pre-filled syringes. Needle-Trap was one of the 22 award winners from a total of 326 entries.

In the “2008 Print & Media Awards” competition Schreiner Group was selected as “Label Printer of the Year.” Schreiner Group has long evolved from a label printing business to a systems supplier and development partner. Consequently, the Group’s divisions are able to provide their customers with innovative products for new applications.
Schreiner Group participated in the 2008 Print & Media Awards competition with solutions like these—and convinced the jury. The panel of judges was made up of leading experts from the printing and media industries. The awards were presented to 25 branches of industries such as catalog and calendar printers, newspaper producers, packaging and art printers as well as to the printing shop manager of the year. In its particular industry, Schreiner Group was selected as label printer of the year.

During the “TOP 100” competition Schreiner Group was selected as the “2008 Innovator of the Year.” Top 100 is a competition specifically focused on innovative small and medium-sized companies in Germany. The evaluation categories are: Innovation Climate, Innovative Processes
and Organization, Innovation Success, Innovation Marketing as well as Innovation-Oriented Top Management.
