Many steel traders and processors mark their products using wax pencils, chalk or other colored markings. Such makeshift solutions have several disadvantages. They lack a systematic approach and are neither machine-readable nor permanently weather-resistant. Labels from Schreiner ProTech for marking steel beams provide a practical and professional solution. The labels reliably resist moisture, cold and heat and can be applied to dirty or corroded surfaces. They are printed by the customer using thermal transfer printing for barcodes and text, and thus ensure the desired flexibility. For the steel supporting structures manufactured by Goldbeck, a producer of steel joists, Schreiner ProTech developed a label hanger consisting of a robust, non-rubberized film. The hangers are attached to the joists with metal clips and withstand rough ambient conditions undamaged. Schreiner ProTech also creates other customized label versions such as labels with paint masks or heavy-duty permanent adhesives. Steel beam labels from Schreiner ProTech enable customers to run professional warehouse operations, with inventories booked in and out of the system by means of barcodes, as well as fast and easy inventory control.
