Excellent Cooperation with Autoliv
A noise control system by Schreiner ProTech ensures that the seat belt buckles made by Autoliv fully meet customer expectations after installation. Other successful projects as well as the continuous improvement of processes recently earned ProTech the “Preferred Supplier” award.
In addition to an automobile’s technical specifications, its visual appeal, ergonomic and acoustical qualities are crucial sales benefits. Of course a seat belt system should not rattle when the vehicle is in motion. For Autoliv, a manufacturer of occupant protection systems, Schreiner ProTech selected a material which not only reduces noise but is also visually attractive. The material – a special velour – has a surface that feels like velvet and is available in different shapes. When applied to the belt buckle, it avoids any undesirable noise development. In addition, the material is resistant to fading and abrasion.
The years-long collaboration with Autoliv is bearing fruit. At the end of April, Schreiner ProTech received the “Preferred Supplier” award by Autoliv. To qualify for this recognition, ProTech participated in a two-year development program and successfully proved its capabilities in three successive audits as well as in various workshops.
