Schreiner MediPharm Wins Awards for Packaging Excellence
BLAUVELT, NY -- Schreiner MediPharm, a Germany-based global provider of specialty pharmaceutical labeling solutions for over 50 years, recently won the coveted FINAT Award, the World Label Association Award, the German Packaging Award and the Baxter Award for their packaging innovations.
Schreiner MediPharm won the first place award in the screen printing category for their Japanese syringe label at the European FINAT competition. As an award recipient, they were then selected by the FINAT Association to enter the global competition for the World Label Association Award which Schreiner MediPharm also won in the screen line category. The judges were primarily impressed with the outstanding definition of the delicate Japanese characters on the label and the luminescent varnish on the label surface. The syringe label also provides safety features including a scaled, transparent window, which allows the content of the syringe to be seen and a detachable label section for documentation to be applied to a patient’s medical records.
In the German Packaging Institute award competition, packages in various categories are evaluated by a panel of judges for innovative design and superior performance. The best packages in each category are given the German Packaging Award. Schreiner MediPharm was chosen to receive the Award for its innovative Needle-Trap label system featuring an integrated safety device to help prevent accidental needlestick injuries. This simple, economical design allows needles from disposable syringes to be safely and easily secured after they have been used.
Schreiner MediPharm also received the Baxter Award for Versatility and Flexibility at Baxter’s Global Supplier Day 2008. The award honored Schreiner MediPharm’s innovative solutions, fast response and efficient processes in an anti-counterfeiting project.
