Schreiner MediPharm Presents Needle-Trap Needle Protection Solution with Integrated Detachable Label Parts
Oberschleissheim, February 23, 2011 – At interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf from May 12 to 18 Schreiner MediPharm will showcase its entire product range of innovative marking solutions with value-added benefits for the pharmaceutical industry. The highlight this year: the Needle-Trap needle protection system with integrated label parts. Through this new development Needle-Trap now provides the additional benefit of efficient documentation when administering injections.
The EU Directive 2010/32/EU to prevent needlestick injuries aims to create safe working conditions for healthcare professionals. Needle-Trap helps prevent injuries through the label-integrated needle trap and thus reduces the risk of infections. In addition, the specialty label now enables reliable documentation of the injections administered. For this purpose the label is equipped with additional detachable label parts which can be attached directly to the patient’s medical records or vaccination card. This new development is another example of Schreiner MediPharm’s multifunctional solutions. The combination of the needle protection function and easy documentation protects healthcare professionals from needlestick injuries and facilitates the tracking of the medication.
