Efficient Tamper Evidence

Shrink-wrap labels provide a reliable, cost-efficient solution to protect drugs from tampering. After application to the container, the self-adhesive film label is heated, causing it to shrink and wrap around the container like a second skin. When the wrap is opened for the first time, the holding strips tear, which clearly shows that the container has been opened.

High thermal loads like those occurring during autoclaving processes of pharmaceuticals can cause labels to separate at the splice. To preclude this, Schreiner MediPharm developed a special shrink-wrap label, which can withstand higher thermal loads and enables shrink-wrapping and autoclaving in a one-step process, without requiring any changes in the production process flow.
