RFID technology division is now integrated with Schreiner Group
Schreiner LogiData becomes “Competence Center LogiData”
Oberschleissheim, January 15, 2010 – Schreiner LogiData GmbH & Co. KG was integrated into Schreiner Group effective December 31, 2009. As the “Competence Center LogiData,“ the previous subsidiary is now responsible for all Group-wide solutions in the field of “Radio Frequency Identification” (RFID). Schreiner Group’s decision to integrate the division with the company was made as a result of the growing strategic importance of these high-tech products for all of the Group’s divisions.
Helmut Schreiner, Schreiner Group’s managing shareholder, comments, “RFID has meanwhile become an important element of many of Schreiner Group’s solutions. To substantially strengthen the significance of RFID as a strategic technology within Schreiner Group, we decided to integrate the LogiData division as a competence center for RFID into Schreiner Group.”
Schreiner Group has been active in the field of forward-thinking RFID technology for more than ten years. This form of contactless data acquisition enables objects to be clearly identified without a direct line of sight via an air interface between a reader and the object. Schreiner Group’s RFID solutions are used for such purposes as tracking of goods in logistics, production control, goods and inventory management, proof of authenticity, minimization of product liability risks as well as the protection of life and assets.
