Automated Driver’s License Check
In Germany, companies are required to check the driver’s licenses of employees who drive on company business twice per year. Smart-Labels by Schreiner LogiData simplify these checks in a major way.
The days when employees had to personally present their driver’s licenses to confirm that their driving privileges were not suspended or revoked are over. Now, a SmartLabel with a digitalized chip number can be applied to the license. The transponder is automatically read by RFID and digitally stores the chip number assigned to the respective user. Whenever the driver passes a corresponding RFID reading station with his or her license, the presence of the license is automatically confirmed and thus satisfies the employer’s legal obligation.
The SmartLabel can be applied to any type of cardboard or plastic substrate. Any attempt to peel off the label from the substrate automatically results in the label’s destruction, thus frustrating tampering attempts.
